Childhood Cancer Warrior Spotlight: Erin
As told by his mother

On October 14, 2025, our lives changed forever. What started as a simple trip to the emergency room for diarrhea quickly turned into every parent’s worst nightmare. After multiple tests and scans, doctors discovered a softball-sized tumor in our sweet 2-year-old son Erin’s abdomen and diagnosed him with Neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer.
In an instant, our world shifted from normal everyday life to hospital rooms, surgeries, treatments, and uncertainty. Since his diagnosis, Erin has endured 5 surgeries, over 10 rounds of chemotherapy, countless procedures, hospital stays, and long days no child should ever have to face. Yet through every obstacle, Erin has continued to show extraordinary strength, resilience, and courage far beyond his years. Even during the hardest moments, he continues to smile, laugh, and bring light to everyone around him.
Although Erin has already overcome so much, our fight is not over. He still faces radiation and multiple rounds of immunotherapy as he continues his journey toward healing. The road ahead remains difficult, but Erin continues to fight every single day with unwavering bravery and a spirit that inspires everyone who meets him.

Beyond the diagnosis and treatments, Erin is simply a little boy who loves swimming, running around, and playing with his cars. Like every child, he deserves the chance to enjoy a carefree childhood filled with joy, adventure, and the simple moments so many take for granted. We cannot wait for the day he can fully return to being just a kid again.
Throughout this unimaginable journey, the love, prayers, and support from our community and organizations like Sky High have carried our family through some of our darkest moments. Sky High has brought comfort, encouragement, and hope to families walking through childhood cancer, and we are incredibly grateful for the joy and support they provide to children like Erin. Opportunities like this remind families like ours that we are not alone and give children battling cancer something so important to hold onto hope.
