Childhood Cancer Warrior Spotlight: Ava Grace

As told by her mother Amanda

Ava is a sweet, joyful, fierce, brave and adventurous little girl who has touched the hearts of so many. In February 2025, at just four years old, she was diagnosed with High-risk neuroblastoma. Since then, she has bravely faced chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, immunotherapy, and now a neuroblastoma vaccine clinical trial for the next three years.

While this journey has brought unimaginable challenges, it has also shown us the incredible power of faith, prayer, and community. We have been surrounded by an army of prayer warriors who have carried our family through the hardest days, and we are endlessly grateful for the love and support that has met us at every turn. We truly believe those prayers have given us strength, peace, and hope.

Ava continues to amaze us with her resilience and her ability to find joy in each day. She loves animals, arts and crafts, dancing, gymnastics, karate, swimming, and making new friends. She and her little sister share a special love of butterflies and hearts that are reminders to our family of hope, and the beauty that can come from even the hardest seasons. Ava recently finished kindergarten and reminds everyone around her to celebrate the little things and never stop smiling.

We are so thankful for every doctor, nurse, caregiver, family member, friend, neighbor, organization, school, local business, and stranger who has walked alongside us on this journey. It is a blessing to share Ava’s story, and we hope it serves as a reminder that even in life’s hardest moments no family ever walks alone.
