Lunch With a Mission: Highlights From Our young professionals Cancer Awareness Luncheon

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent Cancer Awareness Luncheon at Hungry’s, where 41 attendeesgathered to raise awareness for Childhood Cancer and connect around a shared mission of making a difference.

The luncheon was a meaningful opportunity to bring community members together over a meal while highlighting the realities of Childhood Cancer and the importance of continued support.

We were honored to welcome guest speaker Kyle Angelle, owner of Kyle Angelle State Farm and a dedicated member of the Sky High Executive Board. Kyle shared the personal story of how his life changed when his youngest daughter, Payton, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). He spoke about his career, his values, and how his family’s experience gave him a new perspective on what truly matters. His message served as a powerful reminder of the strength found in families and the importance of rallying around those who are walking through the Childhood Cancer journey.

We were also grateful for the attendance of Dr. ZoAnne and Dr. Sarah from Texas Children’s Hospital, whose presence added another level of significance to the luncheon. Their commitment to research and patient care reflects the progress that is possible when communities, medical professionals, and organizations work together.

Finally, a special thank you to Hungry’s for generously hosting the luncheon. The welcoming space and wonderful meal created the perfect setting for conversations that matter.
