Houston, TX | September 29, 2025
700+ women gather to raise over $1 million at Sky High for Kids’ annual Ladies Who Brunch fundraiser to fund Pediatric Cancer research projects.
Sky High for Kids marked a record-breaking year with its 2024 Ladies Who Brunch event, hosted on September 29 at The Revaire in Houston. This extraordinary gathering of over 700 attendees raised an impressive $1,084,676 to support children battling Pediatric Cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
The day kicked off with a lively cocktail hour featuring a silent auction with more than 100 unique packages, surpassing all expectations by raising over $200,000. Guests mingled and placed bids on exclusive experiences, luxury items, and rare artwork, setting the stage for a memorable afternoon.
This year’s event was chaired by Logan Lester Tafelski and Jessica Morrison, who welcomed guests and spoke about the significance of Sky High for Kids’ mission in the fight against Childhood Cancer. The guest of honor, Bri Collins, was recognized for her extraordinary support of the organization, and her commitment to helping children and families impacted by cancer.
The emotional core of the event centered around the inspiring stories of Cancer Warriors Hadlee and Kennedy. Hadlee’s mom, Jordan Brennan, spoke poignantly about her daughter’s journey. We premiered two beautiful videos showcasing Hadlee and Kennedy’s battles. Their bravery left a lasting impression on all who attended, reminding everyone of the resilience of children fighting cancer.
One of the most heartwarming moments was the Cancer Warrior fashion show, which featured eight courageous Cancer Warriors along with some of their siblings. The runway lit up with pride as these young warriors strutted down the catwalk, symbolizing strength, hope, and the unbreakable bond between families and their communities.
Another remarkable highlight was the incredible generosity of the attendees, which led to the event breaking multiple records. With over $200,000 raised in the silent auction alone, and a record-breaking attendance of over 700 guests, this year’s Ladies Who Brunch surpassed all expectations. Additionally, Sky High for Kids’ favorite artist, Laura Goodsen, sold a rare “Cowgirl” piece, contributing to the success of the event.
The afternoon also saw the announcement of the 2025 Heart of Gold recipients: Alex Couture and Maddy Moffitt. Their unwavering dedication to Sky High for Kids and the Childhood Cancer community made them the perfect choice to receive this prestigious recognition.
Reflecting on the success of the event, Logan Lester Tafelski and Jessica Morrison expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming support of the Houston community. “The generosity we’ve seen today is beyond words,” said Logan. “It’s incredible to witness the power of women coming together to make a difference in the fight against Childhood Cancer.” Jessica echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the collective impact that all the attendees, donors, and volunteers had on the lives of families in need.
Sky High for Kids extends its deepest thanks to Nan Properties, the event’s Title Sponsor, as well as all the sponsors, volunteers, and attendees who made this record-breaking event possible. With their support, Sky High for Kids continues to bring hope, love, and life-saving resources to children and families facing the battle of a lifetime.
The power of this event is palpable; what once began as a couple of women gathered in a living room has now blossomed into one of Houston’s most impactful and anticipated fundraising events.
