The Dewville Social Club raises $172,000 for Sky High for Kids at 21th Annual Baker’s Boil
The Dewville Social Club has remained steadfast in its commitment to making a difference in the community by initiating purpose-driven events that effectively support those in need and raise awareness for important charitable organizations through fundraising. Since discovering the mission of Sky High for Kids, the Dewville Social Club has dedicated its Annual Baker’s Boil to supporting our cause. The club has even set a goal of raising $1 million for Sky High for Kids, which works tirelessly to end Childhood Cancer.
Since the inception of their partnership in 2019, the Dewville Social Club has consistently supported Sky High for Kids, marking 2024 as their 6th anniversary of collaboration. This year also celebrated the 21st Annual Baker’s Boil event, which continued to exceed expectations.
The 2024 Baker’s Boil, held on Saturday, April 26th, at the La Vernia Chamber of Commerce Hall in La Vernia, Texas, was a spectacular success, raising $172,000 in support of Sky High for Kids’ mission to end Childhood Cancer.
Attendees were treated to a fun-filled day of activities, including a fierce food competition featuring bold Bloody Marys and decadent desserts, prepared by a record 36 crawfish teams. There was a lively Washer tournament, both silent and live auctions, and even a raffle for kids, so all ages could participate in the fun! A standout moment came during the live auction, where Brittany Franklin, CEO and Founder of Sky High for Kids, served as the auctioneer. Her fiery passion helped raise funds for the organization and fueled the success of the event.
A special moment occurred later in the year during the San Antonio Concert & Clays Fundraising Event in November, where the Dewville Social Club’s ongoing support of Sky High for Kids was once again highlighted. At the event, Neal Baker of the Dewville Social Club gifted Cancer Warrior Cayson with his belt buckle from the 20th Anniversary of the DVSC Baker’s Boil, symbolizing the deep and lasting impact of their shared mission to fight Childhood Cancer.
With a total of $651,180.38 raised to date, the Dewville Social Club has built an incredible legacy of generosity. This year’s success further solidified their dedication to Sky High for Kids and their vital work to end Childhood Cancer. The Dewville Social Club continues to inspire others to “Laugh More. Give More. Do More.” through their ongoing commitment to this cause.
Sky High for Kids is profoundly grateful to the Dewville Social Club for choosing their organization as their Charity of Choice. Funds raised from the Baker’s Boil event benefit Sky High’s $20 Million Pledge Commitment to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
